My niece, Sparkle, and my 2nd QC

I know I have been very quiet, but life has been hectic: my sister had puppies, and one of the puppies has come to stay with us. Her name is Sparkle, and she keeps us all busy. She came to live with us when she was 8 weeks old, and she will be 14 weeks old this coming Friday. Of course she idolises me, and I tolerate her. Apparently she looks a lot like me. Here are photo's of us:

8 August 2010 (We had both just had a bath here - you can see how much she has grown since the first photo!)

I am very pleased to be able to tell you that I won my 2nd Qualification Certificate (QC) in Dog Jumping at a show on the 25th of July. This means that I came first at a Championship show in the top Dog Jumping class, and that I need only one more QC to have the title of Dog Jumping Champion added to my name ... :-) Here is a videoclip of my first round:

Because I went clear, I had to do a jump-off against the other dogs that also had clear rounds - I had the fastest clear round in the jump-off. Here I am showing off my 1st place rosette and QC:

I will try and write more regularly. Till next time, keep the tails wagging.

Hallo - pleased to meet you!

Hi everyone

Boy, am I very excited to have my very own blog!!! Let me introduce myself:

Name: Dazzle
Breed: Border Collie
Gender: Male
Age: 5
Date of birth: Christmas Day 2003
Hobbies: Dog Jumping, Agility and Flyball, and going for walks on the beach

I share my home with five other dogs, but I am the only "planned" one of the lot. My human mom got me as she was a big fan of my dad, a beautiful red and white Border Collie called Shinto. My mom jumped him at shows when his human mom was expecting a baby, and she fell head over heels in love with him.

Here is a pic of me as a puppy of about 8 weeks - wasn't I gorgeous?

I have been training for and competing in Dog Jumping and Agility since puppy days, and I absolutely LOVE it. I have to take it easy though as my hips are not 100% well and I am sometimes quite sore. This is as a result of a bad fall into a courtyard when I was six month's old. Here's two action shots of me:

Going over a jump in May this year

My claim to fame is that I have a Qualification certificate in Dog Jumping and one in Agility - here are pic's of me and my human mom with those two QC's:

My first QC ever, for Non Contact Agility at the Boxer Club Champ Show, 25 May 2009

My second QC ever, for Dog Jumping at Zululand Kennel Club Champ Show, 15 August 2009

Apart from Agility and Dog Jumping, I love Flyball and doing tricks - I'll try and convince my mom to have a videoclip taken of us doing tricks to share with you. I also love going for walks on the beach. This is one of my mom's favourite pic's of me on the beach ... she call's this pic "Love on the Rocks"... it was taken on 29 May 2005:

Anyway, thanks for reading here - please leave a comment so that I know you visited. Chat again soon.
